isnt it little bit unfair a stright demotion for power abuse

example: got a feeling of that some1 is duping or something like that
and jail him for a talk and it comes to that he is legit and he report like "uh the mod **** jailed me for no reason" is that a demotion?

Thats not what it means atoll, what it means is if someone actually abuses their powers  just for the sake of it, if someone got jailed and told me that i'd talk to both of them individually and find out what happened.
